December 9, 2024, marked a joyous occasion for the members of Ikebana International Cebu Chapter and Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Cebu 9709 as we gathered for our joint Christmas party at the historic Casino Español in Cebu. The afternoon was filled with laughter and warmth. As the members mingled and exchanged greetings, the atmosphere was filled with excitement. They extended warm felicitations to our November and December birthday celebrants: Norna Sanchez, Tess Chan and Professor John Go Hoc. The party was a testament to the bond between the two chapters and their shared passion for Ikebana. However, the festive spirit didn’t stop there. In anticipation of the new year, the Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Cebu 9709 organized an exhibit showcasing the intricate art of Ikebana from December 6 to 8, 2024. This event was a deliberate effort to revive Ikenobo in Cebu and attract new enthusiasts to join our community.

For the members of both chapters, the joint Christmas party and Ikenobo exhibit represented more than just a celebration – it symbolized their dedication to preserving and sharing the beauty of Ikebana with the world. As the year drew to a close, the both chapters looked forward to a brighter future, filled with the promise of new friendships, creative expression, and the timeless elegance of Ikebana.
