Amazingly in about less than a year from now, we will be holding the Ikebana International 13th World Convention – in Kyoto on April 25-28, 2025. The venue is the Kyoto International Conference Center. Kyoto of course being where ikebana had its beginnings centuries ago.

Registration for the convention begins on April 1, 2024.

We have already received 1,000 reservations, in addition to the exhibition, cultural programs, and day tours being fully booked.

However, it is possible that cancellations may occur.

Regrettably, the application system being used for the World Convention cannot make a “wait list” that would list requests in the order of receipt.

Whenever cancellations occur in any of the fully booked programs, a notice that there is a vacancy will appear in the online registration page. Vacancies will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you are waiting for an opening, please check the online registration page regularly.

Members of the World Convention organizing committees are working hard on all aspects of the convention.

For this convention, we chose the theme, “SUCCEED AND CONTINUE,” in the hopes that passing on our forebears’ dedication to, and spirit of, ikebana to the next generation will contribute greatly to the continued development of Ikebana International into the future.
