Demonstration Sogetsu School
The November meeting of the Delhi Ikebana International was hosted by the talented senior teacher of Ikebana, Ritika Sarna, in New Delhi. Against the backdrop of her beautiful home, on the 10th of November 2025, the members were treated to an exclusive Ikebana demonstration.
Mrs. Ritika Sarna is a Second Jonin Sanyo of Sogetsu School of Ikebana. She is widely recognized for her exceptional creativity and mastery in the art of Ikebana. For her, Ikebana is more than an art form. It is an expression of herself. Her practice of Ikebana continues to enhance her everyday life and home. She admits that the Ikebana arrangements reflect her feelings & thoughts and, more often than not, help her regain focus on the essential and return to an inner state of calm.
Using real living spaces, she worked her magic to transform her home, often pairing artworks with her arrangements. her vibrant arrangements done so effortlessly, it was a visual treat…truly a very inspiring and enlightening demonstration.
This provided an excellent opportunity for the members to deepen their appreciation and understanding of this exquisite floral art form and to understand how to creatively use the spaces.
Later, the members were treated to a scrumptious high tea by the gracious host.

The 8th December meeting of the Delhi Ikebana International was a delightful afternoon in the breathtakingly beautiful Chrysanthemum Garden of Ms. Divya Ansal, an oasis, in the heart of Lutyens Delhi.
We were honored to have Divya Ansal, a Past President and a stalwart of the organization as our gracious hostess. As a distinguished teacher of the SOGETSU School, Divya brings not only deep expertise but also a captivating artistic vision to her Ikebana practice. Her creativity and dedication inspire everyone around her, making her an incredible artist and a guiding light in our Ikebana community.
Divya’s stunning garden and her warm hospitality made it a perfect occasion, to enjoy the warm sunshine and the vibrant charm of chrysanthemums in full bloom. The members were totally mesmerized by the visual treat and in awe of the scrumptious high tea that followed!
