Demonstrations 　Exhibition Open to the Public　　　　　Sogetsu

Ikebana International Sri Lanka Chapter 262 held its annual exhibition “Blossoms of Hope 2025” on the 29th and 30th of March 2025 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel Ivy Room. 23 members participated in the exhibition titled “colours” ‐ purple, yellow, blue, red, white, orange, pink and free style. The chief guest was the patron, H.E. Akio Isomata and Madam Chieko Isomata.
There were articles in the print media and a jingle in the Fox FM Radio Channel as publicity of the event.

The ceremonial lamp had a touch of Japan with the use of two Japanese umbrellas. There were 62 exhibits on display. The atmosphere was an array of colour with a burst of colour, texture and form.
The members used fresh, dried, coloured and bleached material.
There were demonstrations by Shanthi Shanmuganathan and Siromi Elapata on the 29th of March and a demonstration by Shiromi Soosaipillai on the 30th of March. The demonstrations were well attended, too.
There were around 300 guests who attended the exhibition. The visitors to the exhibition were mesmerised by the colours. A part of the proceeds of the event goes towards the paediatric cancer ward of the Apeksha Hospital Maharagama.
