After a five-year hiatus, Buenos Aires Chapter 40 was able to host our Spring Exhibition for three days in a row. Ikenobo, Ohara and Sogetsu arrangements were displayed amid the wonderful surroundings of Buenos Aires Japanese Garden at Jardín Japonés.
Our guests and families and a swarm of visitors enjoyed viewing 26 arrangements made by 13 chapter members.
A special feature highlighted the exhibition premises, with a collaborative installation by a Sogetsu School member, Ms. Carmen Nagami.
A most heartwarming meaning was achieved by several chapter members using ikebana vases passed on to us by the family of a senior member, Ms. María Eugenia Iñiguez, who had passed away in August this year. She is a very dear member who hosted most of our get-togethers for ikebana & teas.
Our focus is now set on the Chapter´s 65th anniversary, as Covid 19 pandemic restrictions prevented us from celebrating the 60th.
After overcoming diverse hardships and loses, we are ready and determined to join together again with friends and enjoy friendship through flowers.
