Dubai Chapter ＃221

After a long summer vacation, we started our meeting at Swiss Hotel Morooj Dubai. In this meeting Mrs. Nabiha Keifi, the past president, had a beautiful and warm speech about her experience in Ikebana.
She Introduced and welcomed the new president, Samia Jaber.

The new president, Mrs. Jaber, expressed her appreciation to Mrs. Keifi and to the committee for their long dedication and hard work for Ikebana Club.

We are living in a country that has many nationalities, so people are not stable, they work for a period of time and eventually go back to their home. To maintain and keep the club working needs a lot of efforts.

The new president also gave us a small presentation about Ikebana. She encouraged the members to work together to improve the club and attract more people to join us and be friends through flowers.

We tried to advertise our ikebana club through a new Instagram account (ikebana.international.dubai) and now we are working on our new website.

We have been trying to hold our meetings and workshops more in public venues, so the next meeting is going to be at Ministry of Health and Prevention in Dubai.
