Ikebana Day Celebration – Demonstration and Workshop

Our chapter held a belated Ikebana Day celebration on Saturday, June 29, with a Roadside Ikebana theme all-day event. To promote ikebana, we encouraged non-members to participate. Fourteen guests joined us for our fun-filled celebration.

The morning was filled with interactive sessions. Elena Allen, instructor of Ichiyo School, Audrey Charlton, Ikenobo, and Shirley Bludau, instructor of Ichiyo School, gave demonstrations. This was followed by a hands-on session where chapter members and guests made arrangements with found materials.

After sharing a covered-dish lunch, Nanako Tingleaf, instructor of Ikenobo, and Che-Hwa Wang, instructor of Sogetsu, gave demonstrations. The enthusiastic participants then created more arrangements.
