Demonstration and Chapter Meeting　 Open to the Public

Mr. Raynald Donais, Professor of Ikenobo School showed several colorful and beautiful arrangements using seasonal material (branches) mainly from his garden. His arrangements were of style of Shoka Shinpoutai and of modern one. It was amazing to see the variety of different technics of authentic classical school of Japan. He showed the elegance of spiritual and pure beauty eliminating unnecessary parts and choosing some essential parts of material for creation of an arrangement. It demands a long study of Ikebana and experience.

He explained the history of Ikenobo School and the new tendencies since the beginning of 20th century. It was a wonderful demonstration.

Guests were impressed by the beauty and the simplicity of his arrangements which expressed so much emotional, aesthetic and philosophical creativity.
