Quito Chapter #233

Our chapter presented an online demonstration titled, “Being Simple, Being Powerful” by Yumiko Tsunakawa, Riji, Sogetsu School on November 23rd.

Her whole demonstration had a wonderful flow and was very professionally done with clear explanations both in English and Spanish. She created 8 arrangements showing different aspects of ikebana. All her ikebana in the demonstration had beautiful compositions, right balance of negative and positive space, elegant movements, sophisticated colour combinations, etc.

We had a great honour to have Ms. Nobuko Sakata, International President who gave us a speech and also Ms. Junko Morishita, Honourable Member of the Quito Chapter and a spouse of the Ambassador of Japan to Ecuador.

All the participants enjoyed her demonstration and learned a lot. We got a lot of positive feedback after this demonstration.
