Stockholm Chapter #241
It was a perfect combination of Ikebana arrangements and Chinese Calligraphy Scrolls being presented together for the first time, on an exhibition at the art gallery “ArtSight” in Stockholm, Sweden, from 9 to 31 October 2021.
The Calligraphy art works were made by the Italian artist, Patrizia Linari Breitenstein, now living in Switzerland. Fifteen members from our chapter, representing Sogetsu, Ichiyo and Ohara made colourful autumn arrangements. Many of the Ikebana arrangements were also inspired by the content of the different Calligraphy works.
The Japanese Ambassador in Sweden, Mr. Hiroki and his wife attended the opening of the Exhibition. Since the Ikebana arrangements had to be changed every week, many visitors came back several times admiring the new exhibits. The curator for the Ikebana exhibition was Elin Dahlin, Vice President of our chapter.
