II Chapter 147 Monthly Meetings – September and October 2023

After the business portion of our monthly chapter meeting in September was concluded, one of our members demonstrated how to create an arrangement of small-leaved branches and flowers in a shallow container in accordance with the principles of Enshu Seika. Our members then made their own arrangements.

After the business portion of our monthly chapter meeting in October was concluded, one of our members demonstrated how to create plant impressions by applying black ink to leaves and plants and transferring the ink onto paper. The effect is similar to woodblock printing. Once the black-and-white images were set, we learned how to further enhance the basic prints with subtle touches of watercolor. Members created an array of unique impressions of this season’s plants and leaves.
