AGM, Sogetsu Demonstration and workshop

On the 2nd of September 2023, Chapter #215 The Netherlands organised its Annual General Meeting.
The venue House of Eemnes was again the place to welcome our members. It offers beautiful meeting rooms and very good catering, which is appreciated by all our Ikebana friends.
The AGM agenda items were all very well prepared and so received acclaim from all the members.
Board member mrs. Desiree van Vliet was resigning during the meeting. The board and gathered members thanked her for all her efforts. The President, Mr. Brouwers could close a well-run AGM.
After lunch the afternoon program of the day was a Sogetsu demonstration and workshop by Mrs. Anke Verhoeven. She showed an overview of traditional and contemporary Sogetsu arrangements with help of Mrs Hoogland and nice music in the background. All flowers and fruits used were from the season; end of summer, start of fall. After the demo the　participants made an contemporary Sogetsu Morimono arrangement. All together an interesting and instructive Sogetsu afternoon which was well appreciated by the members.
