Our chapter programs for May and June 2024

The May Monthly Meeting and TFC’s General Meeting were held at Owada Densho Hall. Ikebana demonstration by Mr. Riho Semba, Iemoto of the Koryu Shoohkai, featured a beautiful performance and explained the style and the meanings of the works on the flower garment rack in an easy-to-understand manner.
In the second part, the ikebana performance collaborated with musical performances by Soichiro Chiba, a violinist as well as a singer, and his friends. It was very moving.

Donation Presentation Ceremony and the June Gala Luncheon were held in the presence of Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado.
This year the donations by TFC were made to Ishikawa Prefecture, an area affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, and to the Japan Student Association. At the luncheon, Mr. Hiroki Ohara, Headmaster of the Ohara School, gave a demonstration with a lively talk on the theme of “Early Summer Breeze” and arranged wonderful Ikebana works. The delicious meal and wine made for a wonderful ending to the current year’s events.
