Middle Georgia Chapter #112

Our members had an ikebana exhibit at the gallery in Massee Lane Gardens in Ft. Valley, on February 4-5, 2023, during the 2023 Festival of Camellias. Participating members were: Dee Boren, Peggy Defore, Chong Ae Faber, Yuko Hancock, Meei Hill, Jackie Noll, Maria Muniz, Donna Scott, Jho Tu, and Sue Whislar, representing the Ichiyo and the Misho schools of ikebana.

Massee Lane Gardens has been the headquarters of the American Camellia Society since 1966. More than 1,000 varieties of Camellias can be found in the gardens. There is also a Japanese Garden with a koi pond.

The executive director of the gardens expressed that the ikebana display went above and beyond what she could have imagined possible in the garden gallery.

Our chapter is pleased to have been able to exhibit in such a lovey place since 2019, except for a couple of years during the pandemic.
