Demonstration Exhibition Open to the Public
Sogetsu, Ikenobo, Ohara, Ichiyo, Saga Goryu
From October 3 to 5, 2025, the autumn exhibition “International Ikebana Festival” was held, organized by I.I. Moscow Chapter #256.
55 participants presented 60 works from five schools of Ikebana: Sogetsu, Ikenobo, Ohara, Ichiyo, Saga Goryu, demonstrating the art of ikebana in compositions on catwalks, in hanging and floor works. 17 compositions in the format of artistic photography were sent by craftsmen from different chapters of Ikebana International. The central part of the hall was decorated with group work with bamboo. The composition “Hieroglyph FRIEND”, which supports the motto of the association – “Friendship through Flowers” – welcomed visitors. The different styles and individual approach of each master found a response in the hearts of visitors to the exhibition, and in the book of reviews. Ms. Noriko Endo, Honorary Member of the Moscow Chapter, visited the exhibition and left a review in the Book of Impressions.
The Moscow Chapter expresses its sincere gratitude to Mr. Iori Endo, Director of Special Projects at the Japanese House Cultural Center, for the support and provision of professional photographer, the Art Commune Gallery, the Eurasian Art Union, and Yulia Savelieva for performing a beautiful song in Japanese, “Kawano Nagareno no youni.”
