Exhibitions and Demonstrations　　Ikenobo & Sogetsu schools

On September 25-26, 2024, Ikebana International New York (IINY) held a successful exhibition and demonstration at Harrison Meadows Country Club, in collaboration with the Little Garden Club of Rye. The event featured exhibits and demonstrations from both the Sogetsu and Ikenobo schools. Participants can also access the Little Garden Club of Rye flower show and vendor sale at the same venue.

The event began with an exhibit viewing on September 25 from 12:00 to 5:00 PM and on September 26 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A total of 50 attendees, including IINY members and guests, joined us for lunch at 12:00 PM, followed by inspiring demonstrations from Ms. Shizue Pleasanton (Sogetsu) and Mr. Noritaka Noda (Ikenobo), each creating two stunning arrangements.

The exhibition was also open to the public and viewed by garden club members and country club guests, providing great visibility and appreciation for the art of Ikebana.
