Ikebana Using Two-container arrangements from Ichiyo School of Ikebana “The Poetry of Leaves”: Leaf Manipulation from Ichiyo School of Ikebana
Jeanne Houlton, Junior Executive Master (Ichiyo) presented a demonstration, workshop and critique. Jeanne explained how to manipulate different types of leaves, aspidistra, bird of paradise, palm, and others to use in all schools of ikebana. She gave several demonstrations to explain their positioning and shapes. Workshop members working with aspidistra fronds created arrangements using flower material and their own containers, which Jeanne then critiqued.
