Our May meeting was the last one for our Ikebana year. Iemoto Ric Carrasco and Sensei Laurel Fooks presented a demonstration from the Banmi Shofu School. All of their arrangements use driftwood – large and small. Our Board members for the next year were installed. Susan Thorpe is our next President. She presented Mary Maloof, our outgoing President, with her Past Presidents pin. Afterward we all enjoyed a potluck luncheon and wished a safe and happy summer to all.

After taking measures against infection for the first time in two years, we were able to hold 56th Ikebana International Nagoya Chapter Ikebana Exhibition. We were able to meet those who we hadn't been able to meet during the pandemic, and we enjoyed the ikebana experience.
