A BBC movie by Monty Don about Japanese Gardens including the Kyoto Gardens was shown at our chapter meeting. It was a wonderful movie and a real treat to be exposed to the beauty of gardens in Japan. Following a bagged lunch which we all shared together, the afternoon workshop ‘Ikebana Poke’ by schools was presented. It consisted of an Ikebana arrangement using a poke or rice bowl for the container with chopsticks as flower support.
