Amazingly in about a year from now, we will be holding the Ikebana International 13th World Convention – in Kyoto on April 25-28, 2025. The venue is the Kyoto International Conference Center. Kyoto of course being where ikebana had its beginnings centuries ago.

Registration for the convention begins on April 1, 2024. Please open the Ikebana International Website, or homepage, then click on the World Convention button to view the Application Procedures page. There you will be able to register your admission to the Convention and your accommodations by the AMARIS online registration system.

All registrants may apply to participate in not only the main programs but also Culture and Day Tour programs of the convention. We are organizing a temple tour with deep historical ties to ikebana. Tours and culture programs have limited capacity and separate charges. Members of the World Convention organizing committees are working hard on all aspects of the convention.

For this convention, we chose the theme, “SUCCEED AND CONTINUE,” in the hopes that passing on our forebears’ dedication to, and spirit of, ikebana to the next generation will contribute greatly to the continued development of Ikebana International into the future.

Please visit Kyoto in April 2025 and find your hope and heart in ikebana as we come together again. We very much look forward to seeing you and renewing friendships.
