Brushstrokes for Ikebana: Mother and Child

Consistent with their theme, Brushstrokes for Ikebana, Group 4 of Ikebana International Manila Chapter showed their Ikebana prowess to interpret Mother and Child paintings into their arrangement. The interplay of the materials used such as the types and the colors of the flowers, the shapes of the vases, the intricacies of other materials as well as the line definition of the arrangements interpreted clearly Mother and Child relationship as depicted in the different portraits.

Furthermore, Sensei Lupe Lazaro made various Ikenobo arrangements providing lessons and tips in the Ikenobo way.

The members were treated to a sumptuous snack and were delighted with take-away gifts.
