Demonstration &　Chapter Meeting
The first meeting of the Ikebana International Saitama Chapter was held at the Hotel Brillante Musashino under the leadership of the Chapter President, Ms. Kayo Karasawa.
More than 80 guests were welcomed and it was a lively and successful meeting. Many board members from the Ikebana International Headquarters were present, and we also welcomed guests such as Mr. Shindo Kasei, President of the Saitama Ikebana Federation, Mr. Otsubo Kosen, Iemoto Advisor Professor of Ryusei Ha, as well as congratulatory telegrams from the Governor and the Mayor.
The guests were also treated to an ikebana demonstration by Ms. Riei Ikeda, 6th Iemoto of the Koryu Shoutoukai. After a toast by Ms. Tomiko Kakinuma, Honorary Adviser of the Saitama Chapter, lunch was served, followed by a flute performance by Ms. Rie Shinohara, making for a convivial and enjoyable time. Afterwards, the customary commemorative photograph was taken, bringing the event to a grand conclusion.
