Tacoma Olympia Chapter #147

The Lacey Cultural Celebration 2023 was held on March 4, 2023 in the Pavilion at St. Martins University. Our chapter participated in the event by having a booth with Ikebana arrangements and information about Ikebana and our chapter. The festival included amazing entertainment and numerous booths selling things from many cultures. All visitors are from our area of the country. There were at least two other booths with Japanese wares. It was a great opportunity for our chapter to participate in a community event and receive lots of exposure to the public. Kimiko Johnston, a chapter member and a Sogetsu sensei, coordinated our participation. Seven members brought arrangements and were hosts of the booth during the day.
