Chapter Meeting

On Dec 4th 2024 we hosted its first Christmas lunch since the COVID-19 pandemic and regional conflict at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Amman.

This event marked a return to in-person gatherings for members and guests.
Chapter President, Mrs. Randa Kawar praised the committee and chairpersons for their dedication and hard work, which were essential to the event’s success. Their efforts fostered a joyful atmosphere that embodied the spirit of Ikebana.

Mrs. Kawar expressed her gratitude to the chairpersons from the Ikebana schools in Jordan, including Mrs. Muna Sweis of the Ikenobo School, Mrs. Fatina Kabaritie of the O’Hara School, Mrs. Ghada Bdeir, representing Mrs. Huda Fallaha from the Central Amman, Sogetsu Branch, and Dr. Larissa Al-Uar of the Seiko Sogetsu Study Group. Their dedication and artistic contributions not only highlighted the rich traditions of Ikebana but also reinforced a sense of unity and community among members.

The event symbolized a new phase for the Jordan Chapter, blending festive celebration with the timeless artistry of Ikebana, while offering a space for reflection and hope for a better future.
