Geneva #143, Switzerland Demonstration and Workshops by Kuwahara Senkei School
Coinciding with our Chapter’s 55th anniversary, we had a great pleasure to welcome, on March 15, Mr. Kenichiro Kuwahara, future Iemoto of the Kuwahara Senkei School and two assistants. During their demonstration, they presented ten most beautiful arrangements to 115 spectators. For one and half hour, the audience was fascinated by Mr. Kuwahara’s flower world of oseika compositions with branches of forsythia and peach blossoms, rikka of pine, and spring flowers.
In the morning of the following day 25 members of our chapter attended a workshop, creating moribana arrangements by using strelitzia, anthurium and leaves. In the afternoon 22 participants composed a nageire with branches of forsythia and asparagus accompanied by ranunculus. Everybody followed Mr. Kuwahara’s explanations with great attention and thanked him for his remarks and advice.
The day ended in the great applause for the two days of floral magic, and we expressed our sincere gratitude to Mr. Kuwahara and his assistants.
