We were fortunate to celebrate our 40th Anniversary Luncheon at the Chinese Banquet Hall on October 17, attended by Consul-General of Japan, his wife and the director of Japan Foundation in Toronto. Members donated items for the silent auction, the result of which was unexpectedly wonderful.
The Festival of Traditional Japanese Arts, «SEI RYO» - «PURITY and COOLNESS», Project «Nihon No Bi – Japanese beauty», was held on September 23-26 in Moscow, supported by the Japanese Embassy in Russia. The works by the Chapter members were presented in the exhibition.
Japanese Ambiance Festival is an annual celebration of our connection to Shizuoka, our “sister city”. Because of the large number of visitors it enjoys, it is the most important event for the Chapter.

Sogetsu Demonstrations by Four Rijis Each demonstrator was challenged to use chestnut seed pods in their arrangements and succeeded admirably. They created special and unique flower art using an antique basket, modern ceramic and glass receptacles, a steel structure, and construction techniques.

June 12, 2021 August 5 – 8, 2021 Ikebana Exhibition, Milwaukee Chapter, Wisconsin State Fair Our chapter was invited to participate at the horticultural building, and our members created 41 arrangements for this exhibit. We received many compliments from the attendees.
