Portland Chapter #47

In the rainy month of March, our spring program spotlighted the Ikenobo School. A student of Ikenobo for 50 years, Heida Bruce presented a history of her school along with several arrangements to illustrate its styles. Ceci Cheung, another Ikenobo student, created the woodland table centerpieces. Each featured a dainty cluster of Tete-a-tete daffodils, nestled among three moss-and-lichen covered twigs and a few sprigs of Oregon Grape. The placemat kadai was sprinkled with sharp, white rocks, reminiscent of our recent late snow storm. Also,
on display were arrangements made by Ichiyo, Ohara, and Sogetsu representatives.
