Tacoma- Olympia Chapter #147

Our October chapter meeting program was to use mitsumata in an ikebana arrangement.

The demonstration was given by a chapter member, Kimiko Johnston, who is a Sogetsu sensei. 　She started her presentation by showing us how to wire the branches to use them in arrangements.

After the demonstration, members designed arrangements with the materials they brought to the meeting. The results were beautiful, and everyone had an enjoyable time.

Also, a ‘White Elephant’ sale was held. Members donated items from home to recycle to another member to reuse. This is always a money maker for our chapter.
