Expressions of Ikebana through Janur art – Sogetsu School

On 19th September 2023, DII hosted their monthly meeting in Eros Hotel, Nehru Place. There was a wonderful, magical, enticing demonstration by a Grade three level teacher of the Sogestu School, Bangalore [GEETA Somasekhar]
Geeta made beautiful arrangements using Janur-weaving tender coconut leaves into intricate designs.
The demonstration was attended by over 30 members and was followed by a lavish lunch. The event was enjoyed by one and all.

A school will not continue if there are not arrangements that touch people’s heart. In other words, arrangements created both with skill and with one’s heart made an impression on, and attracted, people of time.
